Ghanaian boxer Bukom Banku has defended former President John Dramani Mahama, saying Ghanaians misunderstood him and he’s the best for the country.
Banku claimed President Akufo-Addo has failed to manage the country, leaving it empty and suffering. He expressed his support for Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC), saying Mahama’s return to power will bring relief from economic hardships.
Banku also praised Mahama’s proposed 24-hour economy, which he believes will create jobs. He warned that if the New Patriotic Party (NPP) retains power, it would be disastrous for Ghana.
Banku’s comments come as he campaigns for Mahama’s return to office in the 2024 elections, citing their 14-year friendship and Mahama’s past governance as reasons for his support.
