In a heart-wrenching turn of events, 10-year-old Lisa Laryea, who was battling stage 4 acute myeloid leukaemia, has sadly passed away.

Lisa’s condition garnered significant public attention, leading to a compassionate intervention by Ghanaian businessman and philanthropist, Ibrahim Mahama.

Moved by her plight, Mr. Mahama generously covered the over $110,000 cost for Lisa’s treatment.

He personally ensured that Lisa and her mother were flown to South Africa via an emergency-chartered air ambulance on November 24, 2024, to receive specialized medical care.

Despite the advanced medical interventions and the unwavering support from her family and well-wishers, Lisa’s condition deteriorated, leading to her untimely demise.
