The body of a 10-year-old boy, Nurudeen Abubakar, has been found at a salt mining site in Gomoa Nyanyano, located in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region.

Nurudeen was discovered dead in one of the salt pits after reportedly going there to fish.
Isaac Quansah, the Assemblyman for Upper Nyanyano, was alerted to the drowning incident and informed the local police, who subsequently responded to the scene.
The Assemblyman believes negligence on the part of the boy’s parents led to him being drowned questioning what the deceased was doing at the salt mining pits during school hours.

The body of the deceased has been deposited at the mother and child hospital in Kasoa.
