Twenty students from Salaga Senior High School in the East Gonja Municipality of the Savannah Region have been apprehended following a violent altercation that left one individual with multiple stab wounds.

The incident, described as a chaotic free-for-all fight, disrupted campus activities and required immediate police intervention.

During the operation, officers recovered a locally made pistol and a round of ammunition from the scene.

Investigations are currently underway to uncover the cause of the clash and identify those accountable for the violence.

School authorities have strongly condemned the incident. A school official told 3News that “We have handed them over to the police and hope they are thoroughly screened. Those found responsible should face the full consequences of the law. We are deeply disappointed by the actions of the students.”

The police are currently gathering statements from the suspects. Of the twenty students, 17 have been granted bail, while three remain in custody.
