With Ghana’s general election approaching on December 7, players of the Black Stars are using their platform to call for a peaceful voting process.
As Ghanaians prepare to cast their ballots for the next President and their parliamentary representatives, prominent players such as stand-in captain Mohammed Kudus, Gideon Mensah, Razak Simpson, Isaac Afful, and Kingsley Schindler have urged citizens to refrain from violence.

The players are stressing the importance of maintaining peace and unity during this crucial time for the nation, emphasizing that the election should be a reflection of democracy and national harmony.
“I’m here to urge for peaceful election,” Kudus said.
“We are all one in the country before and after elections. I wish you all well and have peaceful elections,” he added.
Whereas Gideon Mensah emphasized the importance of elections in building a democratic system: “The election presents the citizens the opportunity to shape the country as they want it. I urge everybody to exercise patience and peace and also value each and everyone’s opinion, and let’s keep going.”
Ghana will return to action in March 2025, where they’ll partake in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
