Ralph St. Williams, a key figure in the Democracy Hub, along with 38 others, has been remanded in police custody for two weeks.
The arrests followed violent confrontations between protesters and police at the 37 Intersection in Accra on Saturday, September 21, and Sunday, September 22.

Due to the large number of defendants, their pleas were processed in groups across Circuit Courts 6 and 10.
On Tuesday, September 24, 10 individuals were remanded, followed by nine others later that day. The remaining 20 were subsequently arraigned and remanded.
In total, 44 individuals, including some event organizers, were detained.
The accused, who pleaded not guilty to charges of unlawful assembly, unlawful damage, assaulting a police officer, and conspiracy, appeared before Circuit Court 6.
