Isaac Adongo, the Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga Central, has declared that there is no need for a debate to expose the incompetence of Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

On July 15, the Institute of Economic Affairs announced it would hold a Presidential and Vice-presidential debate for the 2024 elections. However, the opposition NDC criticized this announcement as disrespectful, noting they were not informed beforehand.

Speaking with Umaru Sanda on Eyewitness News on Tuesday, July 23, following the mid-year budget review, Adongo stated that Dr. Bawumia’s credibility is already in shambles.

“We are already exposing him, we don’t need a debate to do that. Who doesn’t know Dr Bawumia has earned the name and even the internet knows him as a liar? Do we need a debate to tell people this? Do we need a debate to tell people that Bawumia has no credibility?

“Do we need a debate to tell the people of Ghana that the man said he was going to develop one village and one dam and today he has not commissioned one of them? Do we need a debate to tell the people of Ghana that he’s developed a tracker which only ended listing toilets?” he stated.
