Oside Oluwole, a 24-year-old Nigerian man known as ‘Khoded,’ has set a new world record for continuously playing a soccer video game for over three days.
He achieved a remarkable 75-hour gaming marathon, surpassing the previous record of 50 hours set by Englishman David Whitefoot in 2022.
During his record attempt, he played over 500 matches. The achievement was confirmed by Guinness World Records (GWR), which shared the news on their website.

GWR noted that Oside Oluwole, also known as ‘Khoded,’ is a qualified biochemist who currently works as a car dealer.
He undertook this record-breaking feat to raise funds for a local hospital in his hometown of Ijebu Ode.
What sets Oside Oluwole’s achievement apart is that, unlike all seven previous record holders, he played the mobile game Dream League Soccer 2023 on his iPhone, which he connected to a TV screen.
Unlike the seven previous record holders who played either FIFA or Pro Evolution Soccer, Oside Oluwole opted for the mobile game Dream League Soccer 2023. He has been a dedicated fan of the free-to-play soccer sim since downloading it in 2016.

According to Guinness World Records (GWR) rules for all ‘longest marathon’ records, Oluwole accumulated five minutes of rest time after each hour of gaming. During these breaks, he could eat, nap, or use the toilet.
“I really enjoyed myself playing for 75 hours straight with just some hours of rest,” he said.
“It wasn’t an easy task, but I must say it was all fun. It was such a great moment; the event was very interesting and I’m grateful to God that it was successful,” Oluwole stated.
After completing his record attempt, Oside Oluwole was congratulated by Seun Adesanya, a member of the Ogun State House of Assembly, who stated in a press release:

‘The Guinness World Records title is a testament to Mr. Oluwole’s dedication, determination, and the countless hours of practice he invested in mastering the game.
His achievement stands as an inspiration to all aspiring gamers and embodies the unyielding spirit of determination that drives our nation.’
Oluwole’s record marks the longest in this category since it was first set in 2010 with a time of 24 hours.
