The death toll from the explosion at Odumase, near Konongo in the Asante Akyem Central Municipality of the Ashanti Region, has risen to three.
Two additional victims have died from their injuries, following the incident that took place on Wednesday night, where one person was initially confirmed dead.
Several others, including firefighters, sustained varying degrees of injuries.
Authorities confirm that the injured fire officers and other affected civilians have been treated and discharged, while about five victims remain on admission.
