The Aggrieved Gold Coast Customers have postponed their planned demonstration in Kumasi, Ashanti Region, originally set for August 5, 2024, after a recent appeal from the government.

The government has promised to start releasing payments for their locked-up funds within August.
In a statement from Charles Nyame, the group’s convenor, he mentioned that although the decision to halt the protest was not made easily, the leadership has chosen to accept the government’s new proposal in hopes of a resolution.
“We have, however, considered reluctantly to listen and accept the new proposal.
“In view of this, leadership is reaching out to inform our cherished Media partners that we have suspended our demonstration scheduled for Monday 5th August 2024, until further notice.
“Leadership do apologize for any inconveniences these abrupt changes might cause you.
“Thank you for your support as always,” part of the statement noted.
The Aggrieved Customers of Gold Coast Fund Management, now known as Black Shield Fund Management, had over 55,000 customers with investments locked up after the government revoked the company’s license.
