The Accra Circuit Court has released four additional protesters from the Democracy Hub after the state decided to drop the charges against them.

On Thursday, October 24, the prosecution informed the court that they had filed new charges intended to replace the original ones submitted on September 25 against the protesters.

They clarified that these new charges had been filed against nine of the protesters, including Oliver Barker Vormawor and Felicity Nelson.

The charges against Cedric Bansah, Emmanuel Offei, Nana Amo Mensah Prempeh, and Thomas Yeboah were subsequently withdrawn by the presiding judge, leading to their discharge.

This ruling brings the total number of Democracy Hub protesters discharged by the court to eleven.
