The Africa Center for Parliamentary Affairs (ACEPA) has called on senior Members of Parliament to resolve the ongoing impasse before the current session of the 8th Parliament concludes.
Dr. Rasheed Draman, Executive Director of ACEPA, stressed the importance of MPs adhering to the court’s ruling on the matter.
This appeal follows a statement from the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, who indicated that the House would not reconvene before the December elections.

His position came in response to calls from the Majority Caucus for an emergency recall to address urgent government business.
Speaking to Citi News, Dr. Draman emphasized the need to ensure the 8th Parliament ends on a constructive note, avoiding the chaos that characterized its beginning.
