The Chiefs and residents of Adamorobe in the Akwapem South Municipality of the Eastern Region have staged a protest at the Ministry of Roads and Highways, demanding the repair of the 10 km road that connects their community to Aburi.

According to the residents, their efforts to persuade local authorities to address the poor condition of the road have been unsuccessful, prompting their visit to the Roads Ministry in Accra to present their petition.
Dr. Raymond Takyi, an opinion leader from Adamorobe, told Citi News that the state of the road could significantly impact voting behavior in the upcoming December elections.
“We have taken all necessary steps, even if it’s politically motivated, why do we vote? Why do we get leaders? Leaders are supposed to solve problems, if you are in a position and you are not solving problems, what do we do? That is the challenge we have in Ghana, we put incompetent people in positions. But honestly, this is not politically motivated.”
