Alexander Afenyo-Markin, the Majority Leader and Member of Parliament for Effutu, has accused the leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) of instigating recent violent incidents in various parts of the country.

In a press conference, Afenyo-Markin condemned the actions of individuals believed to be NDC supporters, who allegedly attacked public institutions in an attempt to seize control of these facilities.

He called on the NDC to take immediate action to halt the violence and work towards restoring peace and order.

“It is important that they don’t just issue statements, but they demonstrate that they do not indeed support this action by stopping their boys.

“They buy them fuel, they give them pickups, and they move them to locations. We are aware, and they cannot pretend that they don’t know about this.”
