Afia Pokua has claimed that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is presenting a deceptive image after Alan Kyerematen’s departure from the party. According to Pokua, her party appears indifferent on the surface, but in reality, they are employing various tactics behind the scenes to persuade Alan Kyerematen to return, although these efforts have proven unsuccessful so far.
“People have begun making calculations, engaging in negotiations, and striving to persuade Kyerematen to return despite his refusal. The NPP has dispatched delegations in an attempt to win him back, but he has firmly declined their overtures.”
‘’ if you listen to the things the NPP was saying during their press conference you will see that they have lost the zeal. They are very much aware that will be seriously affected Alan’s move when they tell you they are not affected then they are lying they are very much aware’’ the media personality stated during her show on Neat FM.
However, Pokua placed the responsibility on the current party leadership for remaining passive and observing the situation escalate. She emphasized that the party should have promptly taken steps to reconcile with Alan as soon as he withdrew from the race for the flagbearership.
“I blame the new leaders, Justin Kodua and co. If they were smart enough they would have convinced Alan to stay at a time when he withdrew from the flagbearership race they should have sent a delegation to him at that time and setup a crisis and emergency meetings to resolve the issue. Rather you guys were acting like u didn’t care. Is not that simple” she added.
Meanwhile, Alan’s resignation has since been trending on social media with massive reactions from a host of Ghanaian celebrities.
