Scrap dealers at Agbogbloshie Old Fadama, located within the Odododiodio constituency, have pledged to vote against the New Patriotic Party (NPP), citing the failure to develop the land from which they were evicted by the then Greater Accra Regional Minister, Henry Quartey.

The dealers assert that their business has been significantly affected by the eviction, with the area now being used as a dumping site.
In an interview with Citi News, Ussif Mahama, Chairman of the Scrap Dealers Association at Agbogbloshie Old Fadama, revealed that they have decided to support the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the upcoming elections.
“The demolition of the scrap yard harmed us a lot and we are not happy for what they did to us. We are surprised to see that they have been dumping rubbish here.
“We see that it is very painful to sack scrap dealers and use the land as a dumping site which is very bad. We are only praying that the NDC should come back to power so that we will come back.”
