The Agri-Impact Group Board of Directors convened for its annual strategic meeting at the Peninsula Resort in Akosombo, Ghana.

This meeting brought together the board, management staff, and a team from PwC to review the group’s achievements, discuss lessons learned, and plan for the future.

The board assessed the performance of its subsidiaries—Agri-Impact Limited, Fresh Logistics, and ASNAPP—and explored strategies to strengthen operations in the coming year.

A key focus of the meeting was the Harnessing Agricultural Productivity and Prosperity for Youth (HAPPY) programme, launched in December 2023 in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation.

The initiative aims to empower 326,000 youth, predominantly women, with work opportunities in the rice, poultry, tomato, and soya value chains. To date, the programme has created jobs for over 94,000 youth, with the rice sector accounting for 80% of the opportunities.

Ahead of the meeting, board members toured Agri-Impact’s flagship greenhouse farm in Dawhenya and AgroKings, a major partner in the Ghana CARES initiative.

These visits highlighted the impact of the HAPPY programme and Agri-Impact’s contributions to youth empowerment, job creation, and import substitution through sustainable agriculture.

The meeting included a corporate governance training led by retired EY partner Kwadwo Mpeani Brantuo, aimed at enhancing strategic oversight and operational excellence.

Daniel Fahene Acquaye, CEO of Agri-Impact, expressed gratitude to the board for their insights and urged continued commitment to the company’s vision.

Board Chairman Prof. Richard Akromah emphasized the importance of innovation, vigilance, and excellence in achieving Agri-Impact’s goals.

Agri-Impact Group, with over 27 years of experience, remains a leader in agribusiness solutions and greenhouse technology across West Africa.

The group continues to foster public-private partnerships and drive sustainable agricultural practices across Africa and beyond.
