Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has publicly apologized for his earlier support of Otto Addo’s return as head coach of the Black Stars.
Speaking on Agoro Fie on Onua TV after Ghana’s 2-0 defeat to Sudan, he acknowledged that the role may be too challenging for Addo.

Agyemang-Badu emphasized that despite previously endorsing him, the situation has changed, indicating that it may be time for the team to reconsider its leadership following disappointing performances.
After resigning post-Qatar World Cup, Otto Addo was reappointed by the Ghana Football Association despite not fulfilling certain requirements. Since his return, he has managed only two victories.
Agyemang-Badu expressed concerns about the Black Stars’ performance, stating that the team doesn’t deserve to participate in AFCON if they struggle against teams like Niger.
He advocates for a comprehensive overhaul, suggesting it may take three years without major tournament appearances to rebuild and strengthen the team.
