Spain and Barcelona midfielder Aitana Bonmati has been awarded her second consecutive Women’s Ballon d’Or.

The 26-year-old played a key role in Barcelona’s historic quadruple last season, helping the team secure the Liga F title, Champions League, Supercopa, and Copa de la Reina.

Bonmati also contributed to Spain’s victory in the inaugural Women’s Nations League, scoring four goals, including one in the final against France.

Expressing her gratitude, Bonmati thanked her teammates, saying, “This achievement wouldn’t be possible alone; I’m fortunate to play alongside talented players who help me continue to improve.”

Additionally, Chelsea’s Emma Hayes was honored as the first-ever Women’s Coach of the Year after leading Chelsea to their fifth Women’s Super League title and guiding the U.S. to Olympic gold at Paris 2024.
