Akufo-Addo appeals for peaceful elections and high voter turnout

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has underscored the importance of maintaining peace during the elections.

Speaking to journalists after casting his vote in Kyebi, Eastern Region, the President expressed satisfaction with reports indicating a smooth election process so far.

He encouraged Ghanaians to uphold this positive momentum and urged those yet to vote to head to polling stations and exercise their civic duty.

“The process was excellent, very smooth, very simple, and very efficient. The reports coming from across the country suggest that this election is going very well and is being conducted peacefully. Ghanaians are showing their commitment to democratic outcomes, and we all have to be thankful to God for that. I want to tell everybody, those of you yet to vote, please go out and vote; each vote counts, and your voice matters.”
