President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has warned Ghanaians that voting for John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the upcoming December elections would result in a regression for the country’s progress.

In his remarks, the President pointed out that Mahama and the NDC offer no new strategies or solutions to tackle Ghana’s current issues, stressing their inability to present fresh, innovative policies.

Speaking to chiefs and elders in the Western North Region, President Akufo-Addo emphasized that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential candidate, represents a vision of hope and progress for the country.

He described Dr. Bawumia as a leader capable of propelling Ghana forward through modernization and economic transformation.

The President called on Ghanaians to support Dr. Bawumia in the upcoming elections, positioning him as the candidate for a brighter, more prosperous future.

Akufo-Addo reaffirmed the NPP’s commitment to growth and stability, contrasting this with the stagnation he associates with past NDC administrations.

“John Dramani Mahama will come here again before we vote in December 2024. When he comes, ask him about the Kumasi Brewery. It produces beer, and Guinness, and used to work three shifts within 24 hours. It collapsed during his tenure.

“You want to implement a 24-hour economy, but the one you came to meet, you were not able to manage it properly, yet you are claiming you want to implement a 24-hour economy.

“Let us not make the mistake of retrogressing. Let us support Bawumia to take us to the next step in the development of Ghana,” he stated.
