Alan Kyerematen, the former Trade Minister, has pledged to be a transformative leader who will positively change Ghana’s fortunes if elected president.

Speaking to a congregation at the Pentecost Church on Easter Sunday, Alan likened his commitment to that of Jesus Christ, promising his followers a similar paradise.

“If God moves your heart to vote for me, a transformative leader,” he said, “just as Jesus promised paradise to his followers, you will also experience paradise when I assume office,” he declared to applause.

Alan reiterated his intention to run as an independent candidate in the 2024 presidential elections during the Dr. Wyatt Assembly of the Church of Pentecost.

Having left the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in 2023, where he had been a flagbearer hopeful, he now leads the Movement for Change group.

In the upcoming elections, he will face competition from NPP’s Mahamudu Bawumia and former President John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress.
