Alan Kyerematen, founder and leader of the Movement for Change, has unveiled his plan to set up 100,000 internet hotspots across Ghana as part of his government’s industrialization strategy if elected.

Speaking at the IEA Evening Encounter on Tuesday, October 1, Kyerematen highlighted the significance of both digitization and digitalization, emphasizing that his policy seeks to bridge the digital divide by providing free satellite internet connectivity to ordinary Ghanaians.

“This industrialization initiative seeks to incorporate both digitization and digitalization, which are distinct concepts. In this regard, an Alan-led government will set up 100,000 hotspots in key locations throughout the country to offer free satellite internet connectivity to everyday Ghanaians.

“If you are aware of the costs associated with data, you will see the importance of this proposed policy,” he said.

Mr. Kyerematen expressed his confidence in being a viable alternative to Ghana’s two major political parties.

He stated that many Ghanaians already trust his vision, competence, integrity, and ability to lead the country effectively.

The former Trade Minister encouraged Ghanaians to overcome their doubts and vote for the candidate they believe can genuinely bring about change, stressing that every vote matters and that broad support for his candidacy could lead to victory.

“There is no doubt that many Ghanaians see Alan Kyerematen as the right alternative to the two dominant parties. If you ask anyone, they will affirm that we believe Alan can get the job done due to his vision, competence, integrity, capacity for action, character, and results. People know this to be true.

“The challenge many Ghanaians face is the concern that voting for Alan might be a wasted vote. Unfortunately, this mindset has been shaped by extensive negative propaganda,” he said.

“My advice to the people of Ghana is this: if you vote for Alan, believing he is the one who can deliver results, and everyone seeking change also votes for Alan, then Alan will automatically win. This is straightforward deductive reasoning,” he concluded.
