Finance Minister and Karaga MP Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam is likely to retain his seat, according to a recent Global InfoAnalytics poll.

The poll shows Dr. Adam leading with 53.4%, while his opponent, Alhassan Sualihu Dandawaa of the National Democratic Congress, has 44.4%. This nearly nine percent margin is notable, given the poll’s margin of error is around four percent.
Dr. Amin Adam made history in the 2020 elections as the first New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate to win the Karaga seat since its creation in 2004, securing 28,335 votes against Dandawaa’s 19,690.
Mussa Dankwa, Executive Director of Global InfoAnalytics, stated that Dr. Adam’s lead suggests he is likely to keep his seat, barring any unexpected events.
Dankwa also mentioned on Citiuation Room on Channel One TV that maintaining his current momentum and avoiding any negative issues will help solidify Dr. Amin Adam’s position as the frontrunner.
“When you are leading in a poll and the difference is higher than the margin of error, it means that if you maintain your momentum and there’s no revelation about you, you are likely to retain your position.
“Because the margin of error is around 4% and the difference between you and the opponent is much larger than the margin of error. So that’s the basis we are saying barring any unforeseen situation, he would retain his seat.”
