The Appointments Committee of Parliament will begin its sitting today, Monday, February 24, to review the nomination of Lydia Lamisi Akanvariba as Minister of State Designate for Public Sector Reforms.
The Committee will also vet other nominees, including Thomas Nyarko Ampem, Deputy Minister Designate for Finance; Ebenezer Okletey Terlabi, Deputy Minister Designate for the Ministry of the Interior; and Sampson Ahi, Deputy Minister Designate for the Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness, and Industry.

Alhassan Umar, Member of the Appointments Committee and MP for Zabzugu, emphasized that the directive limiting each nominee to 10 guests will be strictly enforced to ensure a smooth and orderly process.
“Tomorrow, February 24, we begin the vetting of the 14 nominees proposed by the President three weeks ago. We’ve scheduled four nominees for today, three for Tuesday, and four for Wednesday. The remaining vetting sessions, initially planned for Thursday, will now take place on Friday, February 28, due to the President’s State of the Nation address.”
