Armed robbers attacked a Forex bureau in Abeka Lapaz, Accra, on Friday afternoon.
The two suspects reportedly entered the bureau, located near the Las Palmas area, and demanded all available cash from the staff.
However, as the robbery was taking place, bystanders outside managed to lock the entrance, trapping both the robbers and the employees inside.
When the police arrived, they found the bureau secured, with both parties believed to still be inside.
An eyewitness, who spoke to Channel One News, revealed that the robbers mysteriously disappeared after police broke into the building, which is now under tight security.
A staff member, who requested anonymity, confirmed that the bureau would issue a formal statement with more details about the incident.
