Asamoah Gyan, Ghana’s former captain, has offered words of encouragement to struggling goalkeeper Ibrahim Danlad.

Despite his promising start, Danlad’s performance has dwindled since the 2022 World Cup, leading to his departure from Asante Kotoko after eight years.

Gyan remains optimistic about the 21-year-old’s future, urging him to recall the factors that fueled his success during his loan spells and his rise to becoming Kotoko’s number one.

Danlad’s journey with Kotoko began as a teenager, gradually rising through the ranks to become the first-choice keeper and eventually the captain.

However, his form declined after the World Cup, and he struggled to maintain his position, ultimately losing it to Frederick Asare.

Gyan’s encouragement aims to help Danlad regain his footing and replicate the success that earned him a spot in Ghana’s 2022 World Cup squad.

In an interview with Wontumi Radio, Gyan acknowledged Danlad’s decline in form but emphasized his youth and potential for growth.

“Remember the qualities that made you successful, and don’t limit yourself,” Gyan advised.

“You have the capacity to achieve more than you have in the past. The sky is your limit.” Gyan’s words aim to inspire Danlad to rediscover his talent and reach new heights in his career.
