The Manhyia Palace has announced that His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, will resume his mediation efforts to help resolve the protracted conflict in Bawku.

A press release issued on April 15, 2025, confirmed that the next round of mediation sessions will be held from April 28 to May 1, 2025, at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.
The Asantehene has urged all parties and stakeholders involved in the dispute to fully cooperate and commit to the mediation process in the interest of achieving lasting peace in the Bawku area.
Widely respected for his statesmanship and skill in conflict resolution, Otumfuo’s renewed efforts are viewed as a significant step toward restoring unity and stability in the troubled region.
