Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has suspended his campaign tour in the Bono region due to recent parliamentary events.

He announced the decision during a community engagement at Banda Ahenkro in the Banda constituency, stating, “We cannot ignore the critical issues unfolding in parliament. Our focus must shift to addressing these pressing matters.”
The NDC National Chairman’s campaign, aimed at direct voter engagement, took a turn on the third day of the scheduled week-long tour, during which he had already visited four out of twelve constituencies.
His “retail campaign” included stops in Dormaa Central, Dormaa West, Wenchi, and Banda to share the NDC’s message and gather insights on community challenges.
Asiedu Nketia plans to resume his tour in Tain, Sunyani East, Sunyani West, Dormaa East, Berekum East, Berekum West, Jaman North, and Jaman South constituencies.
The suspension of the Bono region tour highlights the party’s responsiveness to evolving political circumstances.
