The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has reiterated the party’s unwavering commitment to retaining the Asawase seat in the upcoming 2024 general elections, even if it means conceding defeat in other constituencies in the Ashanti region.

During his campaign tour of the Ashanti region, specifically in the Asawase Constituency on November 27, Asiedu Nketiah emphasized the strategic significance of the seat, describing it as “non-negotiable” in the party’s electoral strategy.

He assured party members that the NDC remains focused on securing the Asawase seat as a key priority in the region’s elections.

“We consistently prioritise winning the Asawase Constituency in every election in the Ashanti Region. We are here to reinforce our support for you during this campaign tour, knowing you have always stood with us.

“This year’s victory must go beyond the ordinary, we need a decisive, overwhelming win to strengthen our overall performance in the presidential race. Achieving this will enable us to address past shortcomings effectively.”
