Rich Homie Quan (RHQ), the platinum-selling rapper from Atlanta, has passed away.
He died on Thursday at his Atlanta home. TMZ reports that his family and a representative from the Fulton County morgue have confirmed his death.
Rich Homie Quan was 34 years old. His family expressed profound grief and heartbreak over his sudden passing.

TMZ obtained a 911 call related to the rapper’s death, during which his girlfriend informed the dispatcher that he was not breathing and had no heartbeat.
She also mentioned that he was unresponsive on the couch and started foaming at the mouth when she tried to move him.
No cause of death has been reported yet. Born Dequantes Lamar in Atlanta, RHQ gained prominence in 2013 with his hit single “Type of Way” and continued with popular tracks like “Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh)” and “Ride Out.”
He later collaborated with Young Thug on the Cash Money Records project “Rich Gang” and worked frequently with local artists such as 2 Chainz and Jacquees.
Rich Homie Quan received multiple BET and BET Hip Hop Award nominations, including Best New Artist and the People’s Champ Award. He also collaborated with prominent names like 2 Chainz, Young Thug, Gucci Mane, and Trinidad James.
Tributes have poured in from the music community. 2 Chainz wrote on Instagram, “Dam lil brother, we just spoke about shooting a video, special prayer for you and your family, and pray for any and everybody that’s dealing with something my condolences bru.”
Rapper Quavo shared a post with an image of himself, Rich Homie Quan, and other artists, saying, “May God be with us, never saw this being a part of our journey.”
Engineer Alex Tumay, who worked with RHQ, described him as “one of the nicest people I ever worked with and a true artist. Absolutely crushing news. RIP.”
