Attorney-General Godfred Yeboah Dame has vehemently denied accusations of witness tampering and a witch-hunt leveled against him by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Addressing a town hall meeting with Ghanaian residents in the United Kingdom, Dame asserted that the cross-examination of Richard Jakpa, the third accused in the ambulance procurement trial, has exposed the deceit and lies of the NDC.

Dame revealed that his brother, who lives in London, overheard a conversation in a barber shop criticizing him, unaware that the Attorney-General’s brother was next in line for a haircut.

He emphasized that the NDC’s case has crumbled under cross-examination, and their lies and deception will continue to be exposed.

The Attorney-General highlighted his ministry’s achievements, including the acquisition of 91 vehicles for the Legal Aid Commission and the completion of a new building for the Ministry of Justice.

He emphasized that the NPP has outperformed the NDC in all aspects of national life, including the provision of infrastructure, education, and healthcare.

Dame also stressed the importance of resisting the NDC’s lies and deception, citing his personal experience with their tactics. He encouraged the audience to be vigilant and not fall prey to the opposition’s propaganda.

Meanwhile, a three-member Court of Appeal panel has set timelines to hear a request from Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson and Richard Jakpa, challenging the High Court’s order for them to open their defense in the ongoing ambulance case.
