Award-winning South African rapper Bokang Moleli, widely known as Malome Vector, has passed away. His former record label, Ambitiouz Entertainment, announced the news on Wednesday evening.

“With heavy hearts, we mourn the passing of a shining beacon; the Lion of Lesotho’s sun has set. Our deepest condolences go out to his loved ones and industry peers during this time of profound loss,” the label wrote.
According to the Free State Department of Health, three men were declared dead at the scene of an accident on the N1 near the Koppies turn-off, close to Kroonstad. A man and a woman were transported to Boitumelo Regional Hospital.
A source told News24 that Malome Vector, the ‘Nobody’ hitmaker, was en route from Gauteng to his home country of Lesotho to film a music video when the accident occurred just after 13:00. The vehicle, which collided with a heavy motor vehicle, also carried Vector’s musical collaborators Lizwi Wokuqala and Puleng Phoofolo.
Hillary Mophethe from the Free State Department of Transport stated that while a burst tyre might have caused the driver to lose control, the exact cause of the crash is still under investigation.
