Barcelona have announced the loan signing of 18-year-old Ghanaian winger Abdul Aziz Issah from Dreams FC. Issah will join Barcelona’s B team, Barça Atlètic, for the upcoming season, with the loan agreement including an option to buy at the end of the term, which runs until June 30, 2025.
“The player will travel to Barcelona in the coming days to join Albert Sánchez’s squad,” the club confirmed in their announcement.
Issah’s move to Barcelona marks him as the second Ghanaian to join the club this transfer window, following the acquisition of left-back David Oduro from Accra Lions.
Joining Barça Atlètic provides Issah with a promising pathway to the first team, akin to the successful journeys of young talents like Ansu Fati, Gavi, Alejandro Balde, and Lamine Yamal.
Issah gained prominence last season with standout performances in the CAF Confederation Cup, where he was recognized as one of CAF’s top young talents.
He played a pivotal role in Dreams FC’s historic semi-final run, scoring four goals and providing two assists in ten matches before their narrow defeat to Egyptian giants Zamalek.
In the Ghana Premier League, Issah was a standout performer, contributing to 17 goals throughout the season—scoring seven and assisting ten.
His impact extended to the FA Cup, where he netted four goals in five games.
On the international stage, Issah was a key player for Ghana’s U20 team, helping them secure gold at the Africa Games earlier this year.
