Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has called for party unity ahead of the December 7, 2024 general elections.

During his campaign tour in the Ashanti Region, Bawumia visited the Fomena Constituency on Friday, November 15, 2024, where he addressed supporters and emphasized the need for cohesion within the party.

The Fomena Constituency has been at the heart of parliamentary seat disputes, with the incumbent MP, Andrew Asiamah Amoako, who originally entered Parliament as an independent candidate, now vying for re-election under the NPP banner.

Bawumia urged party members to put aside any differences and work together toward securing a resounding victory in the upcoming elections.

“What I have seen here in Fomena indicates that by midnight on December 7, we will hear the news that the NPP has won the presidential and parliamentary elections and that Andrew Asiamah is the next Member of Parliament for Fomena Constituency.

“I will sleep peacefully today because what I have seen here in terms of unity and love has assured me that we will win the elections.
