Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, Vice Chair of the NPP’s 2024 manifesto committee, has stated that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will sign the anti-LGBTQ bill into law if properly drafted.

Bawumia has expressed his opposition to LGBTQ activities and pledged to protect Ghanaian culture and family values.

However, the bill is currently under litigation to determine if proper legal procedures were followed during its passage.

Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzrah, MP for Ho West, called on Bawumia to urge President Akufo-Addo to assent to the bill, demonstrating his commitment to preserving Ghanaian culture.

Bawumia has reaffirmed his stance against LGBTQ activities, and his supporters believe he will take a firm stance on the issue if elected president.
