Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer and Vice President of Ghana, will ignite the Flame at “The Mega Ofie Walk,” a key event designed to energize and mobilize party members and supporters in the Akuapem North Constituency as they aim to break the eight-year electoral cycle.
This 6-kilometer walk, starting at Mamfe and concluding at Mampong Coronation Park, is expected to attract over 5,000 participants.
It will also serve as the launch event for Sammy Awuku’s parliamentary campaign.
Awuku, the parliamentary candidate for Akuapem North and Director General of the National Lottery Authority, will lead the event.
Prominent NPP figures including Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, Justin Frimpong Kodua, Henry Nana Boakye, Eric Nana Agyemang Prempeh, Kwabena Agyepong, Nana Akomea, and Anthony Karbo will be in attendance, along with all Regional Chairmen and Constituency executives from the Eastern Region.
The event will feature performances by notable musicians such as Guru, Edem, Praye, and Andy Dosty, with an appearance by former Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan.
Dr. Bawumia is expected to address the crowd, underscoring the importance of continuing with the NPP government to build on its accomplishments and rallying support for the upcoming elections.
