President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo announced that Nana Bediatuo Asante will serve as both Executive Secretary and Ambassador-at-Large simultaneously.
The President made this statement during the ceremony for presenting letters of credence on Monday, June 24.
An Ambassador-at-Large is an ambassador with special duties, not assigned to a specific country.
On Monday, June 24, President Akufo-Addo announced changes to Ambassadorial and High Commissioner positions.
Apart from Bediatuo Asante, the others appointed are Francisca Ashietey-Odunton as the High Commissioner Designate to South Africa, and Vice Admiral Seth Amoama as the High Commissioner Designate to Nigeria.
