The Electoral Commission (EC) has issued a strong warning to political party supporters, urging them to refrain from assembling at the National Collation Centre in Accra.

This advisory comes in response to a gathering of National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters at the Commission’s regional collation centre in the capital.

Speaking to journalists on December 9, Deputy EC Commissioner Samuel Tettey emphasized the importance of maintaining calm and respecting the electoral process.

He also announced that the official declaration of the presidential and parliamentary election results is scheduled for 4:30 PM.

“There’s no need for supporters of the political parties to besiege the National Collation Centre. This is illegal and unwarranted.

“The National Collation Centre should be visited by only people with accreditation, all others can watch live the declaration of results on TV by 4:30 pm.”
