Ghana’s home-based national team, the Black Galaxies, have departed for Uyo, Nigeria, for the decisive second leg of their 2025 CHAN qualification tie against the CHAN Eagles.

After a goalless first-leg encounter, the Galaxies face a high-stakes match on Saturday, December 28, 2024, in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

The winner of this West African clash will earn a place in the 2025 CHAN tournament, set to be hosted jointly by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania from February 1-28, 2025.

This matchup is a repeat of the previous qualification campaign, where Ghana triumphed over Nigeria on penalties. The Black Galaxies are now aiming to replicate that success and secure consecutive qualifications at their rivals’ expense.

The CHAN tournament, exclusive to players competing in their domestic leagues, presents a valuable opportunity for home-based talents to shine on the continental stage.
