The Black Princesses were warmly welcomed in Bogotá, Colombia, as they arrived for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.

Colombian police greeted the team with cheers, music, and a brief ceremony at the airport, creating a festive atmosphere that boosted the Ghanaian squad’s spirits.

The welcoming ceremony featured the players and officials dancing with Colombians and local police officers, creating a joyful atmosphere as the team arrived in Bogotá at around 5:45 p.m. local time on Wednesday.

The unexpected and heartwarming reception clearly delighted the Black Princesses, setting a positive tone for their World Cup journey.

Before the official kickoff on August 31, 2024, the team will play several international friendly matches.

The Black Princesses will start their campaign in Group E, facing Austria on September 2, followed by matches against Japan and New Zealand.

They will aim to advance beyond the group stage for the first time, after five previous attempts that ended in the group stage.
