The Black Stars have landed in Benina, Libya, as they prepare to face Sudan in a crucial qualifier for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

This matchup marks the second encounter between the two teams, following their earlier clash in Accra that ended in a goalless draw. Due to ongoing political instability in Sudan, the team has opted to host their matches in Libya.

The Ghanaian squad departed from Accra on Sunday morning and arrived at Benina International Airport at approximately 6:30 p.m. local time.

They are now gearing up for this important match, seeking their first win in the qualifiers after two draws and a defeat in their opening three games.

Before the match on Tuesday, the Black Stars will conduct a pre-match training session at the Martyrs of February Stadium on Monday.

This game is vital for Ghana’s hopes of qualifying for the tournament in Morocco, as they currently sit third in Group F with just two points. They trail Sudan by two points and group leaders Angola by seven.

A win would significantly boost their chances and elevate them to second place in the group, while a loss could complicate their path to qualification. The kick-off is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. GMT.
