Ghana coach Otto Addo is demanding top performance from his team to dominate Group F in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

Ghana has been drawn alongside Sudan, Angola, and Niger in their quest to qualify for the tournament, which will be hosted by Morocco next year.

“We have to be at our 100% best to beat everyone. There is no small team in Africa at the moment,” Addo emphasised in an interview with Ghanafa.org.

“You saw at the last AFCON that very, very strong and known teams had problems with the so-called unknown teams so it’s going to be tough but I think we have the quality to beat all of them. But it’s going to be close, it’s going to be tough, there are no easy games.”

The qualifiers commence in September, with the top two teams from each group earning spots in the 24-nation finals next December in Morocco.

This tournament marks a historic shift, as the 2025 AFCON will be the first to run from December 21 through the festive season, concluding with the final on January 18, 2026.
