The Black Stars have officially begun their training camp in Accra as they prepare for their opening matches in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
Ghana is set to face Angola and Niger in separate fixtures as they strive to secure a spot in the prestigious continental tournament.

Head coach Otto Addo revealed his squad for the qualifiers last Thursday, including several key players to strengthen the team.
As of Sunday night, seven players have reported to the Black Stars’ camp ahead of the first training session.
Among those who have arrived early are Tariq Lamptey, Joseph Wollacott, Ibrahim Osman, Jonas Adjetey, Antoine Semenyo, Brandon Thomas-Asante, and Frederick Asare. Their early arrival will help them acclimate and prepare for the upcoming intense training sessions.
More players are expected to join the camp on Monday morning, with coach Otto Addo set to oversee the first training session later that evening.

The coaching staff is focused on maximizing preparation time to ensure the team is in peak condition for the upcoming qualifiers.

Ghana’s first match will be against Angola at home on Thursday, September 5, followed by an away game against Niger on September 9.
These matches are pivotal for the Black Stars as they look to secure early points in the qualifiers and build momentum leading up to the AFCON tournament.
