Nana Yaa Jantuah, former Public Relations and External Affairs Director of the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC), has revealed shocking details about her arrest by the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) in 2017.

She alleges that she was subjected to humiliating treatment, including being stripped naked, during her detention.

On May 12, 2017, Nana Yaa Jantuah and Samuel Sarpong, Executive Secretary of PURC, were summoned by the BNI for questioning regarding alleged financial misconduct. They were released on bail the next day.

During her interview on Face to Face on Channel One TV, Jantuah recounted her traumatic experience, stating that she was stripped naked and left with only a gap to wear.

She also mentioned that despite her chairman’s advice to Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia not to let her go due to her expertise in engineering and tariffs, her departure from PURC was finalized in November 2017.

Reflecting on the ordeal, she recently sought divine guidance to forgive those responsible for her arrest and the trauma she endured.
