Private legal practitioner Martin Kpebu has called for the dissolution of the board of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT).
He also urged the Director General of SSNIT, Kofi Bosompem Osafo-Maafo, to resign.

“The board must be dissolved, and Osafo Maafo must resign,” he stated during an appearance on Key Points on TV3 on Saturday, July 13.
His remarks coincide with SSNIT’s announcement of discontinuing the sale of a 60% stake in the four hotels. SSNIT made this decision after various labor unions declared their intent to stage a nationwide strike.
The strike was prompted by the National Pensions Regulatory Authority (NPRA) approving SSNIT’s proposal to proceed with the sale of these shares in the hotels.
