On Tuesday, September 3, 2024, the Ghana Police Service arrested Nai Akwasi Lartey in connection with a shooting incident at Bereku in the Central Region.
The suspect, armed with a pump-action gun, shot and injured one person during the Awubia Festival.
According to a police statement, the victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The pump-action gun and some BB cartridges have been recovered from the suspect.
“Suspect Nai Akwasi Lartey is in Police custody assisting in the investigation.”
