Jean Mensa, the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC), has confirmed that the final voters register for the December 7, 2024 elections has been fully completed, marking a significant milestone in the electoral process.

She explained that the register had been carefully compiled and vetted to ensure a credible, transparent, and inclusive election, providing a solid foundation for Ghanaians to exercise their right to vote.

Speaking to political party representatives in Accra on Wednesday, Jean Mensa assured that all outstanding issues, including verifying eligible voters, removing duplicates, and addressing concerns raised by political stakeholders, had been resolved.

The EC, she noted, engaged in extensive consultations and cross-checking to guarantee the register’s accuracy and integrity, meeting the highest standards.

She called for collaborative efforts from all parties to ensure a peaceful and transparent election, assuring that every measure had been taken to protect the register’s credibility and the voting process.

“I am pleased to announce that all concerns have been addressed, and as of now, there are no further issues with the final voters register,” she affirmed.

Jean Mensa emphasized the integrity of the register, stating, “We now have a robust and credible final certified voters register that is ready to deliver a credible, transparent, fair, peaceful, and successful election on December 7, 2024.”

The EC also handed out copies of the final voters register to political parties and independent candidates.
