CFAO Mobility Ghana has revealed plans to start assembling electric vehicles (E-vehicles) in the country.

Adedamola Adelabu, the Country Delegate for CFAO Mobility Ghana, announced this development. The initiative aligns with the global trend toward sustainable and eco-friendly transportation and establishes Ghana as a leader in the West African electric vehicle market.
In an interview with Bernard Avle on the Point of View on Channel One TV, Mr. Adelabu emphasized the importance of government support, including favorable duty structures and a conducive regulatory environment.
“As a company and a group across Africa, we’ve really begun some inroads in line with this new opportunity. We are partnering with the biggest player in that space of EV globally and in a couple of the countries we’ve already had the launch. Ghana, because of its prime and strategic placement will definitely not be left out in the scheme of things by the time we do the rollout.
“So, we are more fired up. I would say for the country-specific; we are going even over and above in terms of our readiness to key into that opportunity within the EV space.”
“Of course, elements that would need to be addressed will be how best the duty proportion or analysis is being done by the government, and how well the government be poised to provide ease of financing.
“I will say very friendly pocket rate regime…CFAO as a group is more than ready- Ghana for our business. I think we will be tuning in some time to come very soon to showcasing not just to Ghana but to the world as a whole what we have in terms of offering on that portfolio,” he stated.
