Chelsea is set to sign 19-year-old French central defender Mamadou Sarr from their partner club Strasbourg for £11.9m, with the move slated to take place in the summer.

This deal marks the first permanent transfer from Strasbourg to Chelsea, with both clubs under the ownership of Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital through the BlueCo umbrella.
Strasbourg will make an immediate £3.4m profit, having only signed Sarr from Lyon for £8.5m last summer.
The pre-arranged nature of the deal ensures Strasbourg can keep their three loan players—midfielder Andrey Santos, left-back Caleb Wiley, and goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic—without breaching FIFA’s loan regulations.
Chelsea have also lined up a deal for Kazakh 16-year-old Dastan Satpaev, who completed a successful trial at Cobham Training Centre in recent weeks.
The striker is expected to join Chelsea’s academy teams from FC Kairat.
